Community Chest
Singleton Diggers has been operating our Community Chest now known as Club Grants program since 1982. In this time Singleton Diggers has donated in-excess of $3.6million in cash and in-kind donations to local organizations.
Application are now open and close on Friday June 11, 2021.
Eligible Category 1 expenditure is for projects and/or services that contribute to the welfare and broader social fabric of the local community, including:
Community Welfare & Social Services
- family support, emergency, low-cost accommodation
- child protection, child care
- counselling services
- aged, disability, youth services
- veteran welfare services
- victims of natural disasters
Community development
- neighbourhood centre activities, youth drop-in facilities
- community transport programs
- community education programs
- tenants’ services
- statewide or regional services developing social policies and providing advocacy for local community services
Community health services
- early childhood health or child and family services
- community nursing or therapy or mental health services
- drug and alcohol, palliative care
- home and community care
- health and promotion initiatives
Employment assistance activities
- employment placement, advocacy services
- group training companies
- community enterprises
- local job creation scheme
Allocated expenditure is that expenditure allocated to community development and support activities and projects not listed under category 1
